Last week I posted the beautiful shabby chic wedding of Charlie and Marcus which, as you might have guessed, I absolutely loved. And lots of you guys mentioned to me how much you loved it as well. So, today I have a special treat for you….
Charlie has kindly agreed to share how she put together this fabulous table plan:
Here’s your set-by-step guide. Get your best DIY hands at the ready, and off we go….
♥ Rip pages out of some old books and tea stain them
♥ Stick the pages onto a board big enough for behind your chosen frame
♥ Layer small doilies on top of the tea stained paper
♥ Place some bunting across the top (Charlie used a sample of some bunting her cousin made for the wedding)
♥ Place tiny Mr and Mrs lettering over the bunting (Charlie used lettering purchased in Brighton, but you could make your own using stencils and card)
♥ Layer up with corsage flower decorations (Charlie got hers from places like Primark, Sainburys and H&M).
♥ For each table print all the names onto cream card and rip them so they are separated
♥ Mount the printed names onto some burgandy and cream card (or the colours of your choice)
♥ Charlie also added flowers on wire (also bought from Brighton) to decorate around the frame and made some miniscule bunting using a needle and thread, and tiny triangle shapes in different colours, then drapped it around the flowers around the outside.
And hey presto – you too could have your very own beautiful shabby chic table plan! Hands up, who is going to be having a go at this?!
Thanks Charlie for giving us the know how – and if you like this and you haven’t already seen the report on the whole wedding, you definitely need to. Take a look here.
Love, Aphrodite x

So clever and pretty, too!
Where did you find such a fabulous frame! It’s stunning, as is the whole plan
Hi guys, so pleased that you like it – I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it!! Leigh-Anne I have got in touch with Charlene to find out where she got the frame from and will let you know as soon as possible, it is stunning isn’t it! xx
Hi Leigh-Anne, just to let you know that the frame came from here http://www.theframing-centre.co.uk/ , which is a company based in Northampton that Charlene’s husband Marcus actually works for. It was ordered in especially but if you are looking for something similar get in touch with them, I am sure they would be able to help you out! x
