I select the weddings that I share with you to provide you with as much inspiration as possible. That is not to say that I expect you to gram your wedding full of details, but I want you to have access to as many ideas as possible.

That sometimes means that the weddings I share are not British weddings, in fact they are often from across the pond simply due to the nature of the submissions I receive. But it does mean that when I do have a lovely home grown wedding for you, it holds an extra special place in my heart.

I keep harping on about my bridesmaids experiences last  year because they have provided me with some of the most awesome memories. But it also gave me an insight to an area that seems to remain a mystery to the wedding world: the secret to finding the perfect bridesmaid dresses.

Granted, I can see the problem – trying to find a dress to suit all of your maids, whatever their size or shape, is not something that you would normally set about doing. Different shapes suit different people. But even now that we have settled upon the idea that it is ok for you to mix and match your bridesmaids colours and styles…there still doesn’t seem to be a designer that has quite got it right.

That is until I discovered Maids to Measure – a little wedding gem that I have been following on Facebook for sometime. And everytime they post a new snapshot of real wedding loveliness, I fall in love. You can design your dress online or go into their lovely studio and have fun designing your dresses with a glass of bubbly.
